A few weeks ago, Flickr started offering stats on user's photos. You can see how many visits you have each day, your most popular photos and how many views they have, which photos have the most comments, etc. Here are mine:
MOST VIEWS
- The photo with the most views is the one on the left. It's my bedroom dresser. I think it's had so many hits because Lisa linked to it one day on her blog, years ago.
MOST COMMENTS
- This award goes to the Wardrobe Remix photo of me wearing all black with my lime green loafers and giant red scarf.
MOST FAVORITE-ED
- The "dish cloth" I knitted and scribbled on with bleach pen is the photo with the most favorites. This also gets a lot of traffic on Ravelry.

While babysitting my niece and nephew, I was flipping channels and came across one of my favorite movies... The Sound of Music. One of the best parts of the movie is the Lonely Goatherd marionette show, which of course, is the performed by the children using the "puppet theater" that Uncle Max bought them. Oh, Uncle Max!
Anyway, while watching it tonight, I noticed how amazing the marionettes are. They have this 1960s mod vibe to them that's too cool...
Don't you just love it?!
I was doing some desperately needed cleaning over the weekend and came across some old Polaroids that I had taken. Some of them are over 8 years old and from my last few months of design school. A few are from my travels to Oregon and California. Some are random signs.
Anyway, I'm sort of sad that there will be no more Polaroid film made. I wasn't a big user of the film, but it still is upsetting.
Still working on the knitted/sewing hybrid pillows. This is my third attempt...
You can see the pillow form sticking out in the back. I thought maybe less of an overlap might help the problem of the knitted fabric pulling and distorting the pillow. That didn't work. I am going to try putting in a zipper in the center of the back and see if that solves the issue. (I can't put the zipper on the side because it'd be too difficult with the thickness of the knitted fabric.)
I am also still working out my overall aesthetic. It's a delicate balance of wild and wacky thrift shop fabrics, bright colors, bold patterns with the overall goal of sophistication. This one is getting closer, I think. I love the colors and the stripes combined with the black and white pattern.
I have been slowly changing around my apartment over the past year. The biggest project has been turning my dining room, which I never use as a dining room, into my studio. It's not quite ready for me to show you. But I did take some time off of the dining room conversion to finally hang some of the bad thrift store art I have been collecting over the past few months...

I noticed that many of the pieces I bought were landscapes and cityscapes. So I decided to group them all together above my bed. I am not sure I like this configuration, but it's ok for now.
I also found some cool decoupage-y bird art that I hung by the old call box...

Since I am getting rid of my land phone line in favor of my mobile phone, I put the hunter, the owl and the little deer on the shelf in place of the phone. Slowly, the apartment is coming together...
I need some pillows for my chairs and sofa. So I got out the sewing machine, and made some...

I used old bed sheets from thrift shops as well as some fabric I got a few years ago at IKEA.

I think they turned out rather well. Going to make some more... excuse me, gotta run...
Went shopping for my Halloween costume and came across some more art for my bad art wall...

The little kid portrait scares me. And if you're thinking that's a ship painted on black velvet, you're thinking correctly.
Oh, and my thrift store hobo Halloween costume turned out rather well...

After restarting the vertical stripe crocheted scarf I though I'd do the same with a scarf a knitted a few months ago...

My friend Celeste wants a short, pink scarf. I started this scarf a while ago but it had the same twisting issue that the vertical striped crocheted scarf, even though the first version was knitted. So, I crocheted the foundation chain with a larger hook which helped. I'm happier with this version.
I came across a few of these phrases on Chris's blog and liked what I read. I decided they would be a great hanging on the wall in my bathroom. I typed them up using Helvetica, the typeface du jour, printed them out and put them in these cool plastic frames.

Now, when I get out of the shower each morning, I can see what they have to say.
