Watched some TV tonight with a small afghan sitting on my lap (crocheted cowl neck sweater.)

OH, YEAH... I HAVE A BLOG.

Nope, I didn't forget that I have a blog. I have just been very busy the past month...

- The high school group that I teach has been taking most of my time. We began competing two weeks ago and there was a lot work to do to prepare. Other than rehearsing up to 20 hours a week, we had to hand dye and bedazzle the costumes... yes, you read that correctly... BEDAZZLE. We ended up using almost 3,000 individual rhinestones which were all individually attached to the costumes by me, Jay and Megan.

We also painted nine patio/market umbrellas that are each 7.5 feet (about 2.5 meters) in diameter. Again, me, Jay and Megan did most of the work. I think they turned out to be worth the hassle...

- I have been working a bit on the Crocheted Cowl and the Reversible Cabled Scarf. This project doesn't really require a lot of thought, so it's nice to crochet while watching TV, or listening to music ("Little Britain" and "Heroes" reruns have are my fave DVDs lately.)

- Most recently I have been spending my little bit of free time getting to know a wonderful man by the name of Blake. I'll wait for a future post to tell you more about him...

It's a side-to-side crocheted cowl neck sweater for my friend Audrey. I found the pattern on the Lion Brand website.

It appeals to me mainly because of it's construction... it's crocheted from side to side in one piece. I really want to start designing my own knitwear, so I have decided to start knitting and crocheting patterns that introduce me to different garment construction and techniques.

I'm really excited to see how this turns out. I'll keep you updated...
