After a six month break, I'm finally back... submitting photos to "Bench Monday" that is.
It appears there are now two Flickr groups for Bench Monday. One is calling itself the "original." Hmmm... maybe somebody got pushed off a bench or something. HAHA.

Today I helped my friend Jay with his landscaping business. I took these two photos while working and thought it'd share them with you.
Now, off to bed because I am wiped out from hauling 5 cubic yards of mulch which took seven hours!

I am loving the color of this small group of knitwear on the W Magazine website. I especially like the red and green mixed with black yarn in photos #1 and #3, and also the deep green seed stitch and gray cabled dress. I included the white cabled sweater because I like the lace detail on the sleeves.
It's so fascinating to me that just two little stitches, knit and purl, create all this stuff!

I'm having fun making some new items for a show* I am in this weekend. I'm using up scraps of fabric by making these groovy pot holders.
I can see this patchwork/quilt style leading to other cool stuff like bags and laptop cases. What do you think... are they cool or should I stop now before I waste more time?

I'm seeing lots of denim jackets all over the internets. It seems as though they are cool again... at least according to these Euro women. But then does denim really ever go out of style?
I'm thinking that I will have to keep my eye open for the perfect used jean jacket on my future thrifting adventures... don't you think?

I had a great time this weekend hanging out with friends and eating sushi, hiking in the woods with my family for mother's day, taking photos of great vintage clothing with my new dress form, and taking funny photos of lasers with Blake.

I completely heart Lazy Oaf. And now they have an actual physical bricks and mortar shop in London! I think this is the place where all the cool clothes that I wanted when I was 17 years old but couldn't find because they hadn't been created yet are. I think I'd kill to have that pencil shirt.
