Best of luck to you! I was so afraid to quit my corporate job, because of the perceived security it offered. Now I make more money working for myself, and I know I'll never be laid off, unlike many of my former coworkers. You will never regret taking this plunge!

Not too many topics for me. I rather like the variety. I notice the blogs I pop in most often "discuss" a variety of things from knitting and sewing and even writing and photography - I like that I can be introduced to different things through someone's blog.

Looking forward to reading the changes!

Adam

Not to sound to groupieish (I so made up my own word) but I love your blog. I agree with your mom. It is, after all, your blog so it's your decision. In my opinion, I think that it should be an everything and anything blog. Whatever you want to say, say it. There can never be too many topics. Whatever you decide I know I'll continue to read.

Lee

I'm more inclined to think you should keep this blog as it is, so that it can be open to be "anything you want". Keep shop site very specific to the shop. The Kitsch Cafe site is the retail you, and the drew-o-rama blog is the inner public you. You can always cross-reference/promote each site without causing confusion. But as your mum implied, at the end of the day the decision is yours. Either way, i will continue to enjoy and appreciate what you do.

PS Congrats on having made your decision to resign.

Cheryl

I think changing the blog name could be a good move if for no other reason than to create some consistency between the shop and the blog. Getting the name out there more is good. Perhaps kitsch and craft becomes the theme for the blog? I also really like the idea of it being about self employment as an artist.

Rosie

Congrats again! One of my goals is to become truly self-employed in the arts or crafts world, so I'm really excited to read about your journey. I read a lot of blogs about starting your own business, but there is not a lot of information about there specifically for entrepreneurs in the craft world.
