After knitting a striped hat for myself a few months ago, I decided I wanted a striped scarf. So, I cast on a few stitches and started knitting a 2x2 ribbed scarf:

January through March is my busiest time of year. I needed a project that I could knit and not have to think about. You can see above that I accidentally knit four rows of gray. I decided to leave it because it reminds me that the scarf is handmade.
Happy accidents are the best.
