I've written about this before, but I feel it bears repeating: I really heart Swiss bank notes.
Don't you just love the bright, saturated colors and complex, layered imagery? I also like that the notes celebrate Swiss citizens that contributed to architecture, science and music (as opposed to just politicians.)
Each note is a different size and includes raised symbols so the seeing impaired can easily tell them apart (circle, square and triangle on the left sides above.) Oh, and the designer's name is printed on the notes as well. I can't imagine that ever happening with US money, let alone allowing only one person to design them.
These make US currency look like green barf.
The Swiss money is really truly fab. Inside your wallet -- a colourful paper party. Canadian money is fun and "Monopoly"-like but we don't have as many fun features as the Swiss francs.

i need to get you addicted to australian currency. ours are also quite colourful and they commemorate citizens from all walks of life. poets, indigenous artists, aviators, antartic explorers. they were also the first to be made out of polymer. (ie plastic!) I tried googling to find you some good images but to include all the links is a bit cumbersome. wikipedia also had some really interesting info on them.

Oh, totally. What really reminds you of how barf-tastic our currency is are those super creepy commercials where the presidents from the money come to life. They're all green-cast and sick looking. I shudder each time they come on.
