I started a new project...

It's a side-to-side crocheted cowl neck sweater for my friend Audrey. I found the pattern on the Lion Brand website.

It appeals to me mainly because of it's construction... it's crocheted from side to side in one piece. I really want to start designing my own knitwear, so I have decided to start knitting and crocheting patterns that introduce me to different garment construction and techniques.

I'm really excited to see how this turns out. I'll keep you updated...

YES, ANOTHER SCARF

My friend Christopher was jealous of the scarf that I made for Jay, his cousin. So after he teased me for about two weeks, I finally gave in and started one for him...

I was in the mood for cables, but needed a pattern that used a reversible cable since scarves are, you know, double sided. There is a pattern for a reversible cabled scarf in the new Son of Stitch 'n Bitch which I decided to use.

It's going slower than I had anticipated, but I have the next 10 days off because of the holidays, so there should be plenty of time to work on it.

Oh, and happy holidays!

It took me only two days to knit this hat for my Dad...

I think it will do a good job of keeping his head warm when he is working in his wood shop.
