I've been busy knitting up some swatches for two new projects...

One is a chunky boat neck sweater...

Another is a deep v-neck sweater for moi...

It's spring! Time for some new projects.

WORK

I came across this quote from another blogger which really resonated with me:

I never again want to have a life that is divided between work and the good stuff... I want all good stuff, which is why I try as hard as I can only to make money in ways that are enjoyable for me.

Can't I just make cool things and sell them? Can you make money knitting, sewing and being crafty in general? If that became my "job" would I not enjoy it anymore? Does anybody know of people who do this?

One thing that I also enjoy is teaching. Even though it can be very stressful and time consuming, I love it. It's very rewarding. My current job allows me to make money but is low stress and very predictable which is a great combination with my teaching schedule. If I tried making money with my craft, would the stress of trying to run my own business interfere with the stress and time of teaching?

What are your thoughts?

It was so nice today that I decided to grab my knitting, get some hot chocolate and sit outside and knit...

I started the lil' devil hat again. Well, not started it again. I just ripped out the shaping at the top since I need to make the hat longer. Should go fast, though, since I only need to knit a bit more then start shaping again. The baby may not be able to wear it once I finish since the weather is warming up. Oh well, it's still cute.

Big Red

Had the urge for a huge scarf. Had some bulky red yarn. Had some big needles. Knit this in a few days...
