This afternoon I sewed the quilt squares to form the top of the quilt.

yep, it's a baby quilt
The squares weren't all even, so you can see that it doesn't want to lay flat. But, hey, it's my first quilt, so sue me.

my sewing box is an old 45 record box, found at a thrift shop
The next step is to sandwich the top, the batting and the bottom together. I have chosen a yellow for the back. I think the trim is going to be pink, but I am not sure...
lol - I have the SAME record box and have had it since I bought it in something like 1970! Sorry this comment is so late - I just discovered your blog the other day.

Gosh you are crafty. I'd never dare attempt a quilt. You may see that it's not perfect, I think that it's amazing.

The quilt looks great, congrats! And in regards to a previous post, yes, sock knitting is very addictive, dangerously so, even! Take care,
Ken

I love the fabrics you've used for your quilt. So bright and cheery without being overwhelming! As one who wants to learn to quilt, how are you doing it? I've looked for a class in my area without much luck.

I think that the quilt is quite nice... If the top doesn't lay flat you could put ties in at the center of each square to keep it flat...??? What am I talking about? I have never made a quilt either!
