UGH. The sacrifices you have to make when you design your own sweater.

UPDATE: Several of you are asking why I ripped... I forgot to account for binding off for the armhole. So I was short 14 stitches... I would have run out of stitches before the top of the sleeve. I have to start over an cast on more stitches.

DPNs OR MGC LP?

My mom got me some DPNs and Brown Sheep Co. sock yarn for Christmas. She also got me a super long Addi Turbo size US1 to learn magic loop. I tried the magic loop and it felt really awkward. So then I switched to DPNs.

ugh- i have no clue which one to go with

Not sure which I like better. Which do you guys prefer? I think I went further faster with the DPNs, but this could also be because I have used them before.

Do any of you have any suggestions for a beginner using either method?

It's a super cute Japanese amigurumi pattern book! I just love this these patterns. They are wonderfully creative and seem fairly easy to make.

This one, in particular, i really think is great. I really respond to the floppiness of the frog. These will be a lot of fun to create as gifts for friends and nieces and nephews.

Now I just need to figure out the Japanese patterns!

ROBBLE, ROBBLE

So far, I have only gotten about three Hamburglar comments about my B&W striped raglan that is my project du jour.

it's the top and bottom, um, i mean, front and back

This pattern is my own and I am making it up as I go. The back went pretty fast and was easy to figure out. I expect no problems from the front. The sleeves are scaring me a bit, since i need to figure out the increases, etc. I am pretty sure I can figure them out, though, robble, robble.
