I have finished Raspy! Here is yours truly wearing it on a Sunday afternoon stroll through the art museum...

Pattern: Raspy by Kim Hargreaves from Rowan Denim People
Yarn: Rowan Denim in Ecru
Size: Medium
Needle: US6
I am very happy with this sweater. After the success of Moll, I feel like I am on a roll. I mostly wear black and gray, so this is a nice color to add to my wardrobe.
There were a few modifications I made to the pattern. First, I took out the waist shaping for obvious reasons. Second, I slightly lengthened the body and sleeves. Third, I made the boat neck a bit higher.
It ends up that the sleeves are bit longer than I would have wanted, but they are growing on me.

some dropped stitches and some Monet
I started Raspy last spring and had to frog twice for various reasons. The only negative thing about this pattern is the miles of stockinette stitch that you have to knit due to the fact that Rowan Denim shrinks 20% after washing. The back took forever, as did the sleeves, which I knit at the same time on one needle. I am guessing that Raspy took approximately 6 months to knit on and off.
The best part of finishing Raspy, however, isn't that I can now wear it, but that I can start another project.....
