Everybody did a great job. I am really impressed with the quality of work. Also, some of you cranked out your sweaters like there was no tomorrow. I like all the cables that I see (my next project has cables). I love Ariane's striped goodness as well as Nancy's thick and thin variation. Y'all putting in a lot of zippers, too. Cece's felted vest is totally amazing- I would be a nervous wreck felting anything I was going to wear.
I will be debuting my skull sweater this weekend. Well, it's not actually a skull sweater anymore, and it's not actually big enough to fit Dan. Um, more on that later...
As far as the winners- they will be announced this weekend. I have a pretty good idea who is going to win each award, but I am going to let it simmer for a few more days.
There is a slight possibility that y'all could sway my decision if you leave enough comments about your faves...

Wow, great stuff! I like Adrian's sweater, that's some nice work. Natalie and I both knit from the same pattern but with obviously very different wool; the drape of both of our sweaters is so very different. But I'm really proud of the one I knit...it is hands down my best sweater so far. ::pats self on head::

Isn't it great to see all these unique sweaters and their even more unique models? So much to admire and learn from our fellow knitters. I am especially drawn to the big graphic color blocks of Ariane's sweater--and the joins where the colors meet look beautifully even.
The desire to make the deadline of Drew's MAN-ALONG was the only reason I managed to finish this sweater. Thanks, Drew, for hosting us!

I think that the sweater Dave is wearing it perfect. It seems to fit his body best. Good work Natalie!

So many manly men wearing their manly sweaters...*sigh*. My vote goes to Ariane; what an amazing sweater.

Wow - I'm totally impressed with Adrian's, Judy's and Lauren's sweaters. Go, cables, go! April's and Lauren's have the total... um... package, so to speak, with great sweaters and total hotties. Of course, I'm a big fan of my own sweater, as well as my own man. I do wish that we could have submitted more than one photo! More of mine are here: http://critters.wordherders.net/archives/003296.html. /sheepish shameless plug.

Besides mine (vote for me vote for me vote for me) I love Adrian's creation. Aaron would NEVER a sweater with all those stripes.
*And for anyone who wonders, yes, felting that vest was nerve wracking*

Such a display of manly goodness, and the sweaters are excellent, too. Much too hard a decision to pick the best one, glad I'm not the judge.

Cece, Jen, Lauren, Debbie, Maggie and Natalie have the most wearable-looking sweaters... and all the cables on so many of the sweaters are fantabulous!
I have not yet knitted a sweater -- just picking up the art again after having knitted a few scarves in college. Made my first baby booties for a friend last night. Perhaps I'll be ready soon for the bigger projects -- you all inspire me!

Wow!! So many great sweaters. I love all the cables I see.
Judy's sweater is gorgeous and her man is adorable to boot. He seems very excited to show off his sweater.
I love seeing all the tweedy yarns, too. They're fastastic!

Wow! seems like some stiff competition ;)
But, really, all of the sweaters look great...I love April's entry!

Excellent sweaters and fine model speciMENs!

I am sorry to cut my boyfriend s head in my photo : he is a bit shy ... but he is really fond of his sweater and he wore it all the time in week-end !! It was a great pleasure to knit it (and funny !). Thanks you very much for encouraging me to do it...

The Cycling Aran should win every award in the book. Really.
Posted by: monkeemaven | 06 January 2005 at 08:16 PM
wow! these are terrific sweaters. can't wait to see the rest. i had to pass on the man-along because i'm deathly afraid of the sweater curse....so until there's a ring on my finger, no knitted garments for my boy! ;) but at least i know there are fantastic man-sweaters to look forward to!

Wowie wow! These are some gorgeous sweaters. My entry is the first sweater I ever made, and I'm inspired to make a few more for the fellas in my life. I don't know if I have a fovorite, but I especially love Adrian's, Cindy's and Judy's creations. All of them are great, though.
And commenter Jon, that's the kind of talk that'll give my husband a big head - er - I mean . . . ;)

i like the pup in caroline's. that's my vote.
Posted by: lurker | 06 January 2005 at 11:06 AM
I like Debbie's total *ahem* package. That's a definite weiner, I mean, winner!
Posted by: Jon | 06 January 2005 at 10:19 AM
oh wow i am completely in awe of all of you who worked with cables. you are the Knitting Goddesses. am now inspired to do something with cables next. those are really great sweaters, and i especially like Adrian's and Jenn's.

I love the pose on Debbie's model, great green. I didn't get finished BUT the MAN-ALONG did inspire me to get a move-along. We're in the middle of a West Australian scorching summer (37C today), so picking up Chris' jumper isn't too appealing (that's my excuse, I don't have any trouble knitting with linen drape). Thanks again for organising!

For me it's a toss up between Adrian's aran beauty, and Cece's felted vest. Tough decision. They are all fabulous.
