Oh my goodness, what is my problem? Check out this stack of knitted pieces just waiting to be seamed. On the bottom is Le Pull, Funky Funnel-neck in the middle, followed by two sleeves and the back of the Skull Sweater.

I do have a reason for not having Le Pull finished... the pattern called for the front seam to show. I did that, tried it on and it made me look like I was, like, 6 months pregnant. So I ripped it out and have decided to install a fantsy pants zip mechanism instead. Also, I have started the second sleeve for Funky Funnel-neck which I should actually rename Funky Boat-neck since I ripped out the neck and just bound off staight across the top of the front and back. And finally, I am waiting to work on the front of the Skull Sweater until I go to my parents for Christmas and my mom can help me with the intarsia.
I also have another excuse for not finishing these projects...

...I was busy making the ornaments for my 1950s sliver aluminum Christmas tree. The illustrations seen in the photo above were drawn by a designer named Alexander Girard. He worked for Herman Miller in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Anyway, I was inspired by his way cool color palette, which is a lot like the one I use for my apartment. Once I got the ornaments cut, I hung them with homemade wire hooks. The tree looks pretty good...
Don't forget to check out my friend, Jay, on Bravo's new show called Project Runway. I finally saw the first and third episodes and I have to admit that I really like the show. I have known Jay foy 11 years and he is still the craziest, most fun, most creative person I have ever met. Go Jay!
beautiful!!!

What a great tree! The ornaments are fun and interesting, and different from most out there, I love it!
You'll get your seaming done. Or maybe you can talk someone else into doing it!

Love the tree. Fun idea for the ornaments. I got one of those white trees. We got to keep this vintage tree thing alive. LOL. Happy Holidays!

i love your tree! beautiful ornaments - fantastic aluminium tree. i've been looking everywhere for a tree like that over here, but you now us norwegians like to go into the woods and chop down our very own tree ... fake trees are really just starting to become acceptable - and only if they're green. boo.
