Hi Drew - Love your website! I'm going to be in Buenos Aires for a couple of weeks next month. Could you let me know where the yarn stores are? also, any tips on how to get knitting needles on the plane? My trip is about 16 hours and I can't imagine not being able to knit during that time! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So, what is the street with the yarn shops? I can't find it anywhere! I have one more week in Buenos Aires! I did see the Yanabey store on the internet. Help! Thanks!

Nicolette

Hi! I found your blog looking for yarn stores in Buenos Aires. I am soo excited you liked the shops. Would you tell me what the name of the yarn street is? I can already picture some yarn in my suitcase....

Cara

Sounds like you had a great visit - I've never bought yarn in a foreign country - sounds wonderful. Glad you were able to knit on the plane without problems. If I had to sit there for three hours without knitting I'd have to up my usual dose of Xanax from take the edge off to barely conscious. Welcome back!

Man-along update: I finished the front of the vest, so I have to block and do the armband/neckband and finito. I'll be posting pictures later today. Thanks!

MAJOR yarn envy here!

Jenny

Glad you're back! What a great trip, and way to bring back some yarn!

Lauren

Damn, that's gorgeous yarn, and for such a steal. I finished my man-along sweater and put the pic of my BF in it in my finished gallery.

Bienvenido de regreso, che! You were missed.

Love, love, love the stashy goodness from Argentina. You picked the *perfect* colors!

P.S. I posted up some finished Manly Jacket pictures today! I put up lots of shots, just for you. Swing by and take a look!

Sarah

love the llama yarn, my best friend just got back from chile and said they had llama everywhere. can't wait to see how it knits up!

Jon

Glad you're home safe. When you come up to New York City, I'll show you some yarn stores that have nothing to do with your grandma's house. And you'll probably want to spend more than $250, to boot!

Nancy

Welcome back! It sounds like it was a wonderful trip. Just to catch you up I have finished the knitting on my striped sweater but I am doing the slowest finishing job ever, really. I sewed the shoulders and I have about 1/4 of the stiches picked up around the neck. Pretty sad huh?

Alyssa

I just kinda stumbled on your blog and was so glad to hear you found Yarn Street in Buenos Aires! I hope you made it to a store called Yanabey--it has an awesome selection of good quality stuff.
