I'm thinking about starting an Audrey for a friend. She says she would love it and wear it. Now I just need to find the pattern and yarn. The neck looks intriguing.
I will check out my LYS in the next week or two to see if I can return some Rowan Summer Tweed that I used to knit a tank from "The Yarn Girls Guide to Simple Knits." BTW, I didn't really care for the Summer Tweed because of its tendency to break. But the tank looked great when finished. It was my first tank... photos to come.
I like knitting tanks... so fast and hardly any finishing. It was such a fun time that I have started a ChicKami for another friend. I am using some cotton baby yarn I found at -GASP- Wal-Mart (I'm a Target man.) So far it's knitting up really well. I must say that I wasn't too hip on using #6 needles, but they are growing on me. I also have taken inspiration from Marrije and am using straight needles. I hate using circular needles, primarily because I like to sit the right needle on my right thigh when I yarn over. My mom LOVES circular needles and is trying to get me to start using them.
But before I start on an Audrey, I have to start on my v-neck sweater from the Phildar Hommes 2003-2004 pattern book. The Phil'laine and Oxygene is on its way from www.brieweb.nl! I am so excited to get this yarn and start on the sweater.
I also am waiting for 3 more skeins of Rowan Chunky Print from my LYS so that I can start on a sweater for my sister. I think I am just going to use Anne Budd's Pattern Book for that one. I can't find a pattern that fits the guage and I love the yarn.
