BARCELONA
- Two weeks in to my trip.
- In the morning, I headed to the Sagrada Familia. I loved this Gaudí building, too. It's unfinished, of course, but is still amazing. I was blown away with the height of the spires... they are 170 meters tall (557 feet). I waited for an lift to the top of one of the towers for a great view of the city.
- While I was waiting for a lift, I noticed that the three guys that were in my hostel room in Lagos where in line behind me. We awkwardly laughed about it and went on our ways (this is the first of two similar stories on my trip).
- After a grocery store picnic, I headed to Parc Güell... another Gaudî landmark.
- Another HOT HOT HOT day.

THOUGHTS/TRAVEL TIPS
- Be prepared for the weather. I only brought one pair of shorts and had to wear them almost everyday for a month. Most Europeans don't wear shorts so realize that you will stick out. I never want to be identified as an American for several reasons, but I was so hot I didn't care I was wearing shorts.
- Barcelona is great for architecture buffs.
